Brabender screw feeders are capable of reliably and accurately metering good to poor flowing bulk ingredients (powders, pellets, flakes, chips, fibers, etc.). The product line includes single and twin screw feeders. Mass flow of ingredient is provided by effective agitation techniques like paddle-massaged flexible polyurethane hoppers ("FlexWall®" and "FlexWall®Plus" feeders) or stirring agitators. All Brabender screw feeders are available with digital hightech weighing systems to allow gravimetric loss-in-weight feeding. New is the Brabender DDSR40B twin screw feeder for extremely poor flowing ingredients. A multifunctional stirring agitator in the screw trough, a particularly large ingredient inlet and straight walled or steep sided extension hoppers provide mass flow even of ingredients that would otherwise require mechanical agitation in the extension hopper. Screw feeders from Brabender are found world-wide in all bulk ingredient processing industries, for instance in compounding, extrusion and mixing processes in the plastics industry.
